What To Expect
Online Community
We can all agree that community > competition, always. And sometimes you just need a sounding board or a kind, supportive word! We’ve all joined photography groups where you eagerly post, waiting for advice or feedback to get you to that a-ha moment, and then: crickets. In our private Facebook Group for Members only, we will be active participants in your journey cheering you on and cultivating positive conversation. In addition, this is where we’ll be sharing information regarding dates for future workshops and virtual calls.
Virtual Calls
We will be hosting one virtual call per month (aka, party time) where we can settle in for a couple of hours of total nerding out - photo video style. Before each call, we’ll be sharing a form with Members to collect questions ahead of time on each topic. We’re excited to cover both the technical AND business aspects of running a photo and video business, and are always open to feedback on exactly what you want to hear!
Workshops & Retreats
Dee and Cassie met during an “accidental workshop” in Florida back in 2022. Dee had planned an amazing portfolio shoot with models on the beach, rented lots of equipment neither of us had ever used, and invited several photography acquaintances that lived close by to come hang out and shoot with her (as she would say, “forced” them to become her friend). And guess what - IT WAS AMAZING, of course!! All of us that attended learned so much, had fun, and gained fantastic friends. We want to create this low pressure, laid back, but beautifully curated shooting experience for our Members so that we can learn from each other and have a blast! While these will be open for public registration, Members will be the first to know AND receive discounts to any in-person meet ups!

We are always here for you. Members can reach us anytime, and we’re more than happy to answer your questions whether it’s over email, in the Facebook group, or over a glass of wine after a fun day of shooting! We promise to be present in our community and support every Member the best that we can.

Think of it like a dream portfolio shoot where we do all the heavy lifting of planning, and you get to come shoot and have fun with your new besties. We plan to host 2-3 (to start!) workshops in 2024. A huge part of being in this community is getting hands-on experience so that you feel confident putting together a high level shoot, working with models, and using a variety of equipment!
